What did you do in the garden today?

Too hot to do a lot. I did walk around the property with the round up and sprayed all the poison ivy I could find. I also noticed that 6 other sunflower seeds have sprouted. 1 already looks like it gave up in deference to the heat Hopefully the rest will be fine. Also got a chuckle over the fact that the mystery vines were so prolific, trailing everywhere, but I only have 3 pumpkins that stuck. 1 is small like a pie pumpkin and the other 2 are good sized pumpkins, but not gigantic. They are already turning orange. I've never grown pumpkins before, are they ready once they are all orange?

Yeah, ripe is orange. One year I threw my pigs a pumpkin and they ate it. Next thing you know, I went down to feed them and looked up in a tree. The pumpkin vine had grown up the tree and there were multiple pumpkins up among the leaves. It was crazy!

@karenerwin when the pumpkin skin dents to your nail but doesn't open up and it's light for its size it's ripe.

Big ole Chuck roast (our Black Angus)
Our carrots.
Our Potatoes.
Our onions.
Our peas.
Our bell peppers.
Our homemade beef stock.
OMG
Store bought celery..
I need more self control. If I keep sampling it, there won't be nothing left for dinner.

Who wants to go in business with me? We can make an Air Freshener Spray Can that smells like Pot Roast!
We will make millions if we can put this smell in a spray can!!!
