What did you do in the garden today?

I got those same free seeds too. I enjoyed the merlot lettuce, but I didn't like picking the small tomatoes, so I stopped watering them.

I got those, too, decided not to plant them. Little bang for the buck, so to speak.

Finally got all my early seeds planted. Snow and snap peas, potatoes, lettuce, kale, beets, sweet peas, bok choy and choy sum. As far as flowers, lost 90% of my dahlias and all of my pineapple lilies, callas. Too wet and cold. I'd left them for years. Have to start over. I think we ended up as zone 7 this past winter.

I started most of my seedlings, but will have to move some of them in every night next week. Temperature will drop to low 30s. Tomato and pepper plants definitely do not like it. Alpine strawberry seedlings are the toughest so far. I only took them in when it's under 30F.

I got the weed eater out and trimmed all the grass and weeds from around the raised beds. Also trimmed 300 feet of ditch along the road and 100 feet of fence line. I'm tuckered out!
