What did you do in the garden today?

I disagree that raw milk is unsafe to drink, I grew up on it. Once we moved to the city, well even whole milk doesn’t taste like milk.
I'm with you. Twice monthly, we buy enough raw milk to last for 2 weeks from a local organic free range farm, freeze it in small bottles, and defrost them as needed. It's divine! :thumbsup

The pasteurized milk you buy from chain stores is full of chemicals from over medicated cows kept in horrendous over crowded conditions. It's truly sad how mass production farms treat livestock.

Mass produced milk doesn't compare in taste, quality, and nutrition value to clean raw milk from healthy happy cows.
You are what you eat...

High of 90 today and humid. Planted the last of the Hollyhock starts that were big enough. More growing from sprouted seed on up. Sweet corn for canning factory in my area has been harvested. Field corn has pollinated. Glass gem corn has started to tassel. Missing pollen from other corn by planting after field corn was up.

Hey all. Been gone for almost a week so I'm way too behind to even try to catch up! DH & I went camping/wheeling in PA.

Came home to lots of garden work, lol. I lost a tomato plant to stem rot. I've never had that before, I hope I caught it before it spreads, but probably not.
I have cucumbers in the dehydrator for pickle chips along with yellow squash (tastes like Lays chips, well to someone who hasn't had lays chips in 10 years anyway). Picking a nice flow of sungolds, strawberries, eggplants, green beans & squash.

Garlic is almost dried, onions are laying over but not quite brown enough yet. Spaghetti squash has powdery mildew starting, I trimmed it up quite a bit. 2nd sowing of bush beans looking good.

Thats about it! Typical summer garden stuff. Hope I didn't miss anything & everyone is doing well.

Oh, I need to harvest the edamame!

Didn't you lose your entire flock to a marten last year?

thank God, no. I lost 15 ducks to foxes and other predators but they were at a friends place. when I moved them to my place I lost only 1 goose who didn't return to coop. no idea what got her as I didn't find her head. my dogs would tear her apart, so definitely not them.
