What did you do in the garden today?

Canned some mixed veg pickles. This is called “Jardiniere” in the Ball canning book. Never made this before. So, will wait a week to sample some.

Is the lavender dead dead, or mostly dead? 😢

My lavender didn’t make it in a pot. Guess I’ll get another and put in the ground instead, I usually can keep them a few years that way.

I put some in ground that didn’t live so I thought if I put in pot, could control water better. I thought others got too wet - root rot

Have you grown spaghetti squash before? It could be immature, so I would suggest letting it continue growing until the vines die. I've heard others who have had strange things grow from seed packets.
Foliage doesn't look like spaghetti squash though...

Wow, it works for me. Bizarre. So sorry it did not work for you. 😞

Hmmm, makes me wonder...why are some folks more appetizing than others when it comes to mosquitoes?
Blood type...D for Delicious 😋?
I've tried lots of different essential oils and nothing is working this year... Normally I don't personally have too much trouble with mosquitoes. This year they are vicious... The only thing that semi-reliably works is commercial insect repellent which I don't like to use. Who wants to spray known poison on their body? Nuts...
