What did you do in the garden today?

I’m pooped from yesterday and grocery shopping today was enough. All I’m going to do is finish cleaning a feeder and show Igor where to cut off the limb from the lilac.

I put all tree trimmings into a pile and we cut off two limbs from the lilac

I looked at yesterday picture and this picture, what a big different all trimmed down and cleared off. Your ducks doing a good job of supervising sitting down resting.

Thanks, and yesterday I had already cut most of it back before I took a pic. It does make a huge difference though.

I will do some more trimming and cutting in the garden. That mango tree needs serious trim down. It is growing too tall and possums, rats, whatever love to hide in it. It will be trimmed down and space out today.

The snow is pretty much melted away from the garden and it's going to be in the 40s and 50s the next 10 days or so. I should plant some lettuce seed in the garden.

Watered the onion and shallot seedlings sitting on the windowsill. I'm watering from the bottom only.

Our grow lamps came today. Hubby is going to build a shelf that we'll use to start peppers here in the house.

Very cool here today after unseasonal Summer snow fell in the neighbouring state, so good weather for a bit of digging I've been putting off. The sun is still strong so I watered what needed it, picked up dog doings and collected a handful of mint (already not happy about the cold snap), lemon balm and catnip for my morning cuppa. Catnip is delicious! I made a strong brew one season, ahead of a heatwave. The heat didn't come and it got pushed to the back of the fridge for 24hrs. I couldn't drive my car after drinking it ...lol

Since I'm adding pawpaw and pomegranate trees to my property this year, I was looking over the Wish List for what I might want to pick up in the fall or early next year... I think I'm going to try avocados and olives... Maybe a sweet cherry too.
