What did you do in the garden today?

Good afternoon all. I watered a few things this morning and DH helped me with a few minor things outside but that’s it. Our granddaughter is here today so we made a banana chocolate chip bread pudding; it’s in the fridge right now, will cook it after dinner for dessert. Tomorrow I plan to add a few more layers to the compost pile and include some aloe pups in there. Once the aloe is clean d yo and I trim a couple bushes in that area it’s done for this year.

We were looking through some old pics on the computer today, back before I had any plants in that area and there wasn’t a walkway yet. Things have changed so much back there!

I also want much more detail. Those spuds looked too uniform for my liking - that's all I needed to see, glad you went the extra mile! I don't trust any of these so-called miraculous growing method videos. We never see a face, hear a voice, they just don't look or feel like gardeners to me. On ebay AU someone is selling cat face orchid seeds. Hundreds of seed packs were sold using the A.I. image below. 'Miracle grow' videas also make their creators lots of quick money.

Scammers are always finding new ways of taking advantage of gullible people, and apparently selling seeds of fake flowers generated by artificial intelligence is one of their latest techniques.

Artificial intelligence is touted as the next big thing in technological evolution, but right now it also seems to be a perfect tool for scammers looking to take advantage of people who can’t tell the difference between what’s real and what’s not.

My sister used to send me these, all excited. I got used to debunking them for her.

As for the orchid seeds, if they don't look like dust they're not orchid seeds. Someone says "20 orchid seeds" I know it's a scam because you wouldn't be able to see 20 orchid seeds.

The smallest of those black dots is probably hundreds of seeds. Each orchid seed is only three cells.

No. I wanted to, briefly. These are just seeds from an orchid flower I pollinated. The seeds aren't even large enough to be alive, technically. They need a particular type of fungus to break through the cell wall, then they parasitize the fungus and use it's energy to start growing.

I started researching the process and said nope.

Wow, I didn't realise orchids were that complex. I feel even worse for all those ppl being scammed into buying orchid 'seeds' who knows what they'll end up with. Probably the starts of some huge tree.

I don't think AI has much future. google and other sites are tracking us using AI then bomb us with adds that might be of our interests. as I searched and bought some tools AI thinks I am a man :lau

many companies use AI for customer support. an albanian friend of mine always speaks with them greek with the albanian accent so AI cannot understand and pass the call :lau

I can't stand that AI crap. I tried looking up something and it says that AI doesn't understand (DUH), I don't need AI to find out what I need.
