It was nice out, in the 70s F. I had the baby chicks, almost 1 week and almost 3 weeks old out in cage in a greenhouse so they could enjoy the weather while I planted (it was plenty warm in the sunny greenhouse). I planted some cold crops in the greenstalk planters and watered what is already in those planters. I use the planters that are higher up so the adult chickens can't eat them. In the lower rows I plant things they don't like! We do have one garden area that they can't access but need to use a lot of creativity too since we grow a lot. Did some clean up, watered, up potted a few more things. Had some smaller starts from indoors outside for some natural light and fresh air.
The chickens yard is fully fenced but we have a few flighty ones who fly out and try to steal any good things growing in gardens
.
Supposed to be another warm day tomorrow. I'll take advantage of that and plant out more and up-pot more seedlings. I'm glad to have this week off work to get lots of things done.
