What did you do in the garden today?

And it could quite well be them. Although I’ve trapped quite a few I know there are more.

My thornless blackberries are doing well and the 4 slips are also growing. 2 to 4 inches of rain expected and cooler weather so things will slow down on growing soon.
What part of the state do you live in? Might be close to us.

ah crud so great news water on but we flooded the coop :lau
Yes and it was deep. Water and muck flowed out of coop for at least a minute. Had to shovel the pathway clean so I could get back through there when I feed in the morning.
Still if it stays on I won’t have to carry buckets of water to the coops and plants.

Still have to harvest the turnips & rutabagas, probably this weekend. We purposely left them in the ground this long because a few frosts actually make them sweeter. It's been fairly cold lately, though, so I think it's time to dig them up.

Have started ordering veggie seeds for next year already (can't help myself! ;)). Here's what we have so far: Sangria watermelon, Porcelain pink pumpkin, Big max pumpkin, Blue hubbard squash, Flat white boer pumpkin, Spaghetti squash, Jarrahdale pumpkin, Turk's turbin squash, Cinderella pumpkin, Marina di chioggia squash, Butternut squash, Acorn squash, Indian corn, Rutabaga, Turnips, Carrots, Peas, Various tomatoes, Various lettuce, Spinach, Habanero pepper, Bird's eye pepper, Bell peppers, Fennel, Basil, Parsley, Culantro (different than cilantro). There may be more but that's all I can remember right now. This is not including any flowers. Can't wait for spring!
