What did you do in the garden today?

Picking figs & muscadines, maybe apples, attempting to layer a few muscadine trailers so we can have several more plants giving me an excuse to extend the arbor another 6 ft, back je secret garden...lol

Plowing under the wasted money & time with the late crop beans, these deer are not deterred by anything.
think I'm putting up a comfy deer stand in the garden...

Hoping they don't get hungry for tomatoes but just in case I'm putting a chicken wire cage on top

Listening to it storm again. We've had over 3 inches of rain this week. The weeds between my garden beds are almost as tall as the stuff I planted.

My weeds are taking over due to rains . I will be pulling weeds again today . Chickens can't eat all of them . Lots of tomatoes . Summer squash are done and the next planting is starting to bloom . Cantalope are sizing up . No ripe ones yet . Lots of ornamental gourds . Some took to climbing a tree .

Another inch and a half of rain. Can't do much but watch the weeds grow and the watermelons plump up. Black eyed peas are producing like crazy. Temps are finally moderating.

My second crop zucchini have started to produce . This is my own hybrid . Yellow straight neck x zucchini .

I have grown them . Very productive .

after canning 200 plus quarts of things i just go to the garden and pick veggies for the chickens mostly...and peppers still pickling peppers
