What did you do in the garden today?

Nanakat, I'm so glad to hear that you don't need the neck surgery! :yesss:Still sounds painful (the carpal tunnel), but I've heard about good results with the carpal tunnel surgery. Hope it goes well.

actually my carpal tunnel was nothing but relief the pain i had up the arm into the shoulder was horrible, waking with no pain left was perfect

I have a garden? ;) Been some of those few days. Watered the garden with duck pool water, picked weeds, fed the turkeys, picked apples and gave to ducks and chickens, picked a pepper that finally turned red, waiting for more to turn, picked kale, talked to the plants, just realized I forgot to harvest the ripe strawberries, and found a LONG (translation - HUGE) snake in a nesting box. Peed. My. Pants.

I stopped working for the day. No more laundry. (I don't have a washing machine, so it's the old fashioned way, daily). No more weeding. Scared to be putting my hands in dark places, like between containers! And I am not cooking dinner! My snake relocated is bringing dinner.

*sigh* But it's not that easy to take part of the day off. I hear chickens asking me to do stuffs so they can go to bed.

I do not put my hands in dark places anymore either :bow

I'm so very glad that the snakes that we have are well behaved. They do not invade nest boxes.

But, oh I hate it when I'm harvesting, and I have a spider run up my arm. Or run in the holes in my crocks. Or how bout the other day, when I was picking raspberries, and I had a hornet fly down my shirt. He didn't like it down there, and let me know several times before I was able to squish him. I then stripped off my shirt and sent hubby inside to get a baking soda paste for my stings. Oh how I'm so very glad I live in the country, where topless is an option without stopping traffic!

One of the most memorable "dances" I've ever seen was when I was a teenager. My dad was working in the shop. He always wore coveralls. A mouse ran up inside his pantleg.

Similar instance for me, girlfriends mom years ago had been gardening when she came inside she discovered a scorpion in her pants. You guessed it, stripped in front of me and every one else.
Of course everyone had to take turns stomping on scorpion.
