What did you do in the garden today?

After chatting up the pets this morning, I felt like giving them all treats this afternoon. The parrot did his "funky chicken dance" for me and got 2 pecans in the shell and an ear of corn and the cat woke up just long enough to scarf down his chicken treats. The chickies got most of my attention, and I moistened a bowl of shredded mini wheats and added some blueberries that were on sale at the market this week. I sat out in the yard with them and hand fed the little beggars while we had a conversation.

Since the oak trees have finally dropped their leaves, I blew them all off the yard and collected a huge pile to add to the garden for the girls to mulch in over the winter. There is rumor of snow this weekend but I'll believe it when I see it.

We got ours today and supposed to get more tomorrow.

they do not dicker out here either either one or goodwill.. we have a second hand store called blessings here take allot of stuff down there they will dicker with many lowering the cost

The guy ended up bringing three loads of topsoil today, looks great. I am going to grow fruit trees over there. It is near where i planted the berry bushes.

Been having some medical problems so nothing outside will get accomplished. But my Christmas Cactus is blooming
