What did you do in the garden today?

right now in the process of planning out a raised bed garden.

have up to two weeks on most of what we plant that is when are spring starts
some of the vine plants have been planted under black plastic right now

With all the rain we've been having, it's really hardened up my raised beds. I went out this morning and worked them up pretty good. Looks like I'm going to need to add some organic matter to help make it less compact.

I need about 6 bags of potting soil still to fill out my tires

Today I strung up two lights over some emerging seedlings and put a heat mat under the tomatoes.
I also got an unexpected shipment of baby chicks that I thought was gonna be here in about 2 weeks. Unfortunately they were shipped at a bad time and got hung up at the PO overnight and a few didn't make it. Pretty bummed about that.

I topped out at 82 tomato sprouts. A few look like they might be too puny to make it, but we'll have plenty. I also have a bunch of California Wonder bell pepper sprouts, and a few Marconi Yellow. I guess I'll have to find homes for all the extra seedlings that won't fit in the bed, but I'm keeping the thickest stemmed ones.

Something keeps digging up the peas I planted in the garden. I put plastic over them, but there was signs of digging just under the edges this morning. Lol! Last year half of my pea seedlings got eaten.
