What did you do in the garden today?

I weeded and fixed a few problem areas in both raised beds. My snap peas are flowering as are some of my tomato plants. I can't seem to get broccoli to grow in my bed. The seedlings keep disappearing, so something is really eating on it. I interplanted the shrimpy seedlings that were left with bell pepper seedlings and bush bean seed. If I don't get broccoli, at least I'll have those.
I put chopped onion on beds where i have bug issues. Seems to help.

Poking around in the garden, marked out where the new beds are going to be. My Caucasian Mountain Spinach is coming back like gang busters. Also have some shallots coming back, as well as some that I dug last fall to replant. Garlic is looking awesome. Peas that were planted on Sat and Sun are now sprouting.

My chopped onions and peppers go in the freezer. Any time I cut a pepper, If I don't anticipate using the rest of it right away, I simply slice it into 4 - 5 "planks" and pop it into a snack sized zip lock. It's real handy to have those frozen peppers when pizza night rolls around! I bet you could also use chopped garlic leaves, scapes, and onion tops to accomplish the same thing for pest deterrent without sacrificing the veggie use in your kitchen. You could also blend up the end nubs and dump them over your flower beds, or make a spray out of the resultant juice to spray your crops.

Came home from work to lots of sunflower sprouts. Zucchini sprouts and potato sprouts. FINALLY!! Planted 2 more potatoes. Now to bed. When it comes to veggie plants so many things your not supposed to plant near potato. Does that count if you grow them in a bucket? Oh beet sprouts too
