What did you do in the garden today?

Cute pups!

I transplanted some of the driveway herbs into the tomato raised bed and potted up some peppers and eggplant and tomatoes into the fabric grow bags. Also tried to get everything out of the seed flats and into either a bigger pot or a raised bed.

Here's a quick review of the tendril peas I grew for the first time: nah. They're big plants, and the tendrils are kinda fun to put in salads, but they're considerably less productive than my mammoth melting sugar and the other kind I planted (can't remember name).

My qumquat I planted a month ago is bloomimg!

Sigh...... The grass I mowed just before two days of rain is super tall already. It is also super wet.
I will need a hay cutter by the time it dries enough to mow.

Still lots to do outside. I may build another garden bench or a potting table or a few planters.......

I have a gallon of pretty minty green paint......

Hubby mowed the lawn for the first time yesterday. The clippings went into the run (after I stole 3 toboggan loads of compost for the garden), the old grow out coop, and the main coop. I moved seedling trays back into portable green house units in garden. I'm gonna wear them out moving them back and forth before they get planted. Potted up some of my soaked squash seeds. On the agenda for this week: get cucumber seeds planted. They are sprouting. Get a truck load of wood chips for garden. Mark out remaining garden beds, and make final decisions about what goes where. Trees are saying it's time to plant corn.

Good morning everyone. Hope you had a great weekend.

Watered this morning and swapped a couple shade structures we have in the yard for the chickens. The one they use most was too close to a tree and it was getting too much water.

Watered the compost pile that isn't much of a pile. Have to reassemble that on Wednesday. Planning to finish off my sod project that day and get the pavers in there finished. The puppy won't stay off the grass seed I planted so I'm going to pull their frame things off and try again in the fall.

Ground watered, picked peas, pulled weeds, looked for new emergers. I found some baby tomatoes on my plants. Yay! I need to mound up some dirt over my potato plants. At this point I think I have not one square foot more where I can plant anything. So, whatever else I decide to plug into some dirt will have to be potted.

Here's what's up so far:
Tomatoes
Okra
Bell peppers
Snap peas
Carrots
Potatoes
Cucumbers
Golden wax beans
Tavera green bean
Canteloupe
Watermelon
Golden zucchini
Zuchino rampicante

I think that's it.
