What did you do in the garden today?

Can someone help me with a DIY
To protect cutting from sunburn and moisture loss?
I really don't want to pay 30 bucks for the 3 in one spray.
I have looked on Google and can't find anything.
And yet I would like to put something on the grape vine cuttings I have coming.

Try the tree wound spray . It is like a tar or asphalt spray . Should hold the moisture in . Parafilm might work also . I use Parafilm on scions when grafting .

Spent the afternoon learning new grafting methods . Mostly looking to up my success on walnut trees . The guys teaching me were generous with scion wood . Several mulberry cultivars plus walnut .

I finally felt well enough to get my nematodes watered into the orchard and garden. I sure hope it will help save my apple trees.
But the oak root fungus may be causing the main problem.
It kills my plum trees.
So I am working on a bare root methley um in a pot from Isons.
It's been nearly a month and shows no sign of budding out yet. And this is the second one they sent me. It was suppose to be from cold storage but when I got it the entire trunk was oozing sap. Every where I touched it.
Is that common?
I guess I should have bought a live tree to begin with.

My kumquat is blooming like crazy!

Yesterday I went and planted some herbs and replanted some kale because my kale starts got too leggy indoors. I also weeded a bunch and got my second round of spinach in the ground. Many many more things to plant still but it's been raining hard all week.
