I am trying to get my tomato cages built.

So far just one but I need 11.

You’ll have to send a pic once complete. I giv you credit. In the 90 here and I couldn’t build 20 of those. I got the extra ones I need at ALDI. ( 1.69 !) but you be pulling tomatoes off a beautiful trellis will I try to find supports and stakes for these wire cages in a struggle to hold the branches. Haha. Those ought to last awhile!

Today, I picked peas, and inspected plants. More holes in leaves, but I'm about to go get some neem oil to make a dip for my chickens, so I can spray my plants too. My tomatoes need to be tied back as they are growing over the walkway. I skimmed a bucketful of duckweed from our pond for my chickens. They LOVE that stuff!

Since hubby has been mowing, the weeds I usually give them (chicken salad) are harder to come by, so pond plants it is. I wish I could free range them, but it's not that much extra work to provide them green food. And the way I do it, it's free.

For years I have simply used dawn diluted in large spray bottle with water
I do spring for miracle grow was able to get a huge shaker bottle this year may last longer than a year

Oh, and if you have issues keeping your tomato cages upright because of wind, I may have a helpful hint. Tent stakes... I used them this year, and they are holding solid. The trick is sticking them in at an angle instead of straight down.
