What did you do in the garden today?

Well, now I know what happened to my beans. I thought they were quitting, but turns out they've been feeding a rabbit.

Ugh. Love rabbits till they start eating my dinner. I had one rabbit visiting mine before I got goats and a tall fence. They laughed at the short rabbit fence I put up

I used leftover field wire, my goal is to keep the crazy dogs out here .. they have the biggest part of the yard to play in and run they do not get my garden

This is an attempt at a hugelkultur bed, lots of big and little sticks covered with several inches of sawdust. The logs had been rotting a couple years before we added the sawdust. This spring we made holes and filled them with a scoop of rabbit manure and dirt. I would say the Luffas we planted are really doing well, they’re growing at an insane rate. I planted pumpkins a little later and they’re only about 6 weeks old and 4ft long with tons of female flowers.

Yep I guess anything really that’s probably over 2 1/2 3 foot tall would work even just plastic fencing because at least that’s one thing about rabbits they’re not very strong

That rabbit fencing they sell at the store is only like a foot and a half and I think they were laughing at me while I was putting it in

We've had rabbits here as long as we've lived here. They don't bother much of anything (except the garden), so I kind of forget about them until I see evidence of their munching.

As a heads up, even a tiny rabbit will gladly chew through plastic to get to their snacks.

We had squirrels rabbits and all that when we first moved in but between my cats hunting and the Rhode Island Reds liking to chase anything smaller than them. Sometimes some things that are a little bigger than them we don’t see them very often anymore
