What did you do in the garden today?

I'm so sorry for your loss Penny. My little Ginger passed shortly after her 15th birthday.

I'm taking a little break from the bachelor pad for my cockerel. Should be able to get him in there this afternoon. My seedlings are doing well, the tarragon and basil popped up out of the dirt. The Meyer lemon tree I transplanted is doing well and putting out new leaves. It's supposed to get to 50F today. I hope it does. It was 25F when got up this morning. I'll have to buy some more pellets for my pellet stove. I only have 3 bags left. I really need warmer temperatures. But it is the first day of Spring, so warmer weather is coming! :celebrate

Got some seeds sprouting...tomatoes,lavender, Morning Glories, and some jalapeño ...starting some more next weekend...sorry I haven’t gotten out to take pics couple times I been out forgot phone..but weather looking good later this week and weekend so I’ll get em..hoping to get out there and started on clean up but pretty sure bf is in cahoots with his friend to go floating (kayaking,canoeing)...I love floating just theirs sooo much needs done around here...

Penny, I'm so sorry for your loss. Losing a dog can be extremely hard. Please take some time for yourself if you need it. :<

I got my celery seeds into dirt waaaay late but it's done. I also have a bunch more herbs and flowers in dirt too. I tried to plant some mint but when I cracked open the burpee seed packet it was mostly dust inside and about 10 seeds which showed signs of damage. I was very disappointed. I threw them in dirt anyhow. Knock on wood we get something good out of it.
In any case I have about 25 cells of celery and 30 cells of herbs, a tiny patch of columbines and mint done too. I'm hoping to get the last of my flowers into dirt soon and some large amount of genovese basil and purple opal basil. I'm running way late on some of these herbs.

Whew, the season sure is picking up, huh? I planted yesterday and today I just finished cleaning up and hand hoeing 100sqft of garden bed to get rid of the weeds/grubs. It was rough towards the end despite having tried to life weights over the winter. But at least I got the full 100sqft done! And now I'm d-o-n-e for the day. Not sure I coulda done that without a little incremental workout.

It was absolutely beautiful and stunning outside today. Mid 50's, sun, a light breeze. I opened up all my doors and windows for a few hours too. First day of no-sweater rapidly turned into my first day of sports-bra-only today with all the work I was doing. But now my arms are like noodles. Time for a hot shower!
