What did you do in the garden today?

Do you @karenerwin really saw them and just like want them, We had the old pattern thought it was time for a new one

I bought new Corelle when we moved a year ago. We also waited for a good deal and bought 2sets at that time. Decided on a square plate set (the bowl is square too). I had used stoneware for years prior to that, but grew up with Corelle. My oldest came home for a visit and after a few days and several meals on the square plates/bowls told me the square dishware was strange! Lol. I still like them, and maybe my next set will be round.

G'morning gardeners. We've been under an excessive heat warning since Saturday, one more day to go. Overnight lows in the upper 80s to low 90s and 110+ every day.

I've managed to move rocks from the chicken yard and piled them along a wall where the desert plants will go. I bought a euryops daisy, Russian sage and Texas sage on clearance this weekend. The flock is in the garden now so we'll see if they gobble them down or leave them alone. If they leave them I'll transplant in fall when it cools off.
First 2 pics are whete the rocks used to be.

Hi everyone :frow here to learn.... :pop:caf I am in the High desert...

OK looked it up the zone

1990 Hardiness Zone: Zone 9a: 20F to 25F
Average First Frost: November 1 - 10
Average Last Frost: April 21 - 30
Koppen-Geiger Climate Zone: BSk - Cold Semi-Arid Climate

its cold enough to grow apples
and hot enough for Arid climate fruits and veggies. I am guessing.

I have never gardened as an adult. I did grow some tomatoes and some cucumbers back when I was a tweenager.... About an Aeon ago.

Cant kneel never could.... So Raised beds and or Aquaponics will be my go to.

When we lived in Vegas the greenest lawn would grow under the Chaise Lounges in the yard... I can provide shade.... it does get to be 110 on occasion... Chickens lay low on them days Chillin with their sandy mud hole.... and water mellon treats.

I wont be able to start till I move back home... Hoping to get there by February....

Oh and its still in San Diego County half way between the Pacific and the Sea of Cortez... about two miles from the Mexican border

:caf got to start plannin... I guess I need a list of what I want to grow first?
