What did you do in the garden today?

Also made new hummingbird food. I have 4 hummingbirds that fly around my 3 clustered together feeders.

We have 2 indoor/outdoor cats ( and they do hunt moles, mice and such) but they don't bother the chickens, chicks or hummingbirds. Maybe they hummingbirds don't sit still long enough!!

See our three are accomplished bird getters so have tried to bring any birds in
chicks they would and have killed older birds no one that has enough to peck is safe darn cats sleep in the coop half the time

Good morning gardeners. I picked more tomatoes and a bell pepper this morning. Also picked 3 baby leeks. Thunderstorms are on the schedule for today pretty much all day so nothing going on outside. I plan on spending some quality time cleaning the garage the next few days. The temperatures are going down to 70 - 80's this weekend. In addition to canning tomatoes I plan on getting caught up on the yard work. It's hard to believe that Labor Day weekend is coming already. Have a great day everyone.

Dark, dark, dark this morning. Had just enough rain to make the lawn and garden happy and the hens and alpacas annoyed.

Don't know who here has kids but karenerwin's mention of "Peachy Keen" ice pops reminds me of what my grandson likes.

I smash banana, add some chocolate powder or peanut powder -- or a little of both because flavors dull when frozen -- thin it with some chocolate milk and freeze it in molds. He loves them. They don't have any unnatural additives and they're low on added sugar.

Afternoon. I picked some lemon cukes to bring in for a coworker. That's it, going to bed. I have another sinus infection - #5 this year. I see the 2nd specialist tmrw. Hoping for some help but I have my doubts.
