What did you do in the garden today?

Understand that Karen I am worn to frazzle but having a ball here been keeping eye on my brussle sprouts know that my raised me them had them when I was kid hated them she boiled everything how they did back then

Good morning gardeners. I got so much accomplished yesterday, but now a little worn out. I finally made some Italian bread, tomorrow I'm planning on making some sourdough loaves. My friend came over to pick up my little freezer and he brought some tomatoes. I have enough very ripe ones to make sauce again today. I think after this batch of sauce I will likely make tomato juice with the remainder of the tomato harvest. I was happy to pick some green beans this morning with the usual batch of tomatoes. And, I think I finally got the last cucumber. LOL! The two large butternut squashes are ripening nicely. There are four more smaller ones that are very green but there is still time for them to develop more and ripen. I have a few more bell peppers nearing picking size also. I've done so much more canning this year than last year so I am rethinking my storage for the jars. I think your beehive is so pretty @WthrLady. Around here the hives that are visible are the plain white boxes surrounded by electric fencing and heavy duty chain link. It's the only way to keep the bears out your hives here. Have a great day everyone.

Here the big hives clusters are well hidden, surrounded by fencing and security cameras. It's the only way to keep the idiots out.

Schnitz pie for the oven today I think.

We had heavy condensation overnight, so we need a few hours of a good stiff wind and some sun and maybe the baling guy will come today so I can get this hay in storage. SICK of this project already!

I got an incredible amount of work done yesterday, but now I'm sore today. I shouldn't stomp around bare foot on concrete for hours. Hips, back, and ankles are all complaining loudly. I am about to shut them up with a tylenol.

Going to call soon to see if the fabric shop in town in open today. Maybe work on cleaning out the workshop a little. Maybe.

Picked, blanched, and frozen a half pound of green beans. Planted 6 Draconia Spikes along a fence line. ( Clearanced at Walmart for 50 cents each). They are a decorative grass. I have 4 more to plant at the bottom of the property. I'm putting them places I can't get to with my mower!
Getting ready to start on the Cherry tomato and corn salsa.
Brought in some more partially ripe cherry tomatoes.

89 with dewpoint df 79 degrees. It was revolting, which means of course, my hay guy showed up!

So Dh spent 3 hours in that putting up all the bales. So that chore is done until next August.

Made butterscotch today. Awesome.

Boys got into a huge battle. Had to distract them with cold water rinse from the well hose.

But here they are with mouthfull of green ammunition.
