Aloha gang!
Little monster chick still keeping me hopping- no kidding. It has to be the neediest chick I have ever met. Must be a roo. It got to eat its first bug today, think it tickled on the way down cuz it was a goofball reaction.
I did nothing in the yard or garden but water.

I hate to sound like an alarmist- I try to stay away from all of the hype and stick with the facts- with that said, my SIL's boss has a good friend in the Pentagon. He said; turd will be announcing USA to go into a quarantine tomorrow- as in buy your 2+ week supplies now b4 he announces it. If you have not already...
I went into our local market to pick up some dog food and Bisquick for AJ, and us some Jello, cake mix and banana's and the store was very well stocked and calm. I was completely surprised.
We also had some DF tourist couple who were in contact with a known C19 carrier fly to Maui, develop a fever and then flew over to Kauai... with several visits to God knows where. Now they are holed up in some motel room on our dime. I think they should have criminal charges brought to them. Stupid sh*t for brains butt heads. Our islands are small, compact populations...

OK. That's a lot of negativity- sorry kids. I'm feeling a little stressed the last few days. 🤬 I'll stop while I am ahead lol.

I think it’s meant to be more like interstate travel restrictions, but supply chains are still in good working order.

watering is important! Also I laughed at “must be a too” 😂
Guess we shall see tomorrow... probably nothing new but felt like I should share what i heard. 😬 It's totally like prepping for a hurricane cept we will have forced time off with electric and water and a home and vehicles...

Good morning gardeners. Hope you all are hanging in there. So much craziness going on now. You're fine @TropicalBabies, we all have our moments. It got down to 18F this morning and should rise to 40F later on. I'm not planning on any garden work today, but if it's not too windy I will try to sit out with the chickens for a bit this afternoon. I was tied up with laundry yesterday as well as it was the "once every two months" day to make sourdough waffles. I'm good for the next ten weeks for my weekly waffle breakfast. Before I read your post @TropicalBabies I was prepared to have my dirt delivered now rather than wait another week. So thank you for confirming my sense of urgency! Also will be ordering some additional meds now. I'm sure hoping "turd" won't shut down the Post Service yet. My little lemon tree seems to be doing better. I had fertilized it after picking the lemon and I can see some new leaves developing. Quite frankly, with all this quarantine stuff, life for me hasn't changed all that much. Since the Senior Center is closed I will have to lean on my gardening & chicken friends to work on my social skills. I always have plenty to do. After my exercise video this morning I'll need to whip up some Irish Brown Bread to go with my corned beef and cabbage dinner tomorrow. Judging from some of the posts on the "corona virus" thread we may be seeing even more members interested in vegetable gardening. So be prepared to spread "sow" your wisdom. LOL! Have a great day everyone and stay healthy. :frow

since you all are used to being prepared for natural disasters I imagine people don't need a ton of stuff. It's a good mindset. Most people on the mainland don't prepare at all.
