What did you do in the garden today?

Just got back from the market. 93% ground beef is up to 8.49 a pound. UGH. Glad the freezer is full. (30 head walking in the pasture too) Walk, grow, and get juicy little moo moo cows. Bwbwhahahahaaaa
Wow, that's expensive!

I replanted a few beans & squash that didn't come up. That stupid squirrel was back, chewed another hole & this time broke a garlic. I guess I will just leave his little hole in the fence for now or I think he my just keep chewing new ones! Hopefully he doesn't bother with anything else, not sure why he's messing with the garlic. He must be Italian. :gig

Dinner tonight is meat loaf & whatever fresh veggies I have left. Come on garden! Mama needs home grown veggies!

Now it looks like Wednesday will be planting day.

Rain .... Heavy Rain... for the near future.

Rain predictions vary depending on what site is checked, so this one has the lowest amounts predicted.

That all sounds delicious! I think it'll just be cold chicken, salad and maybe garlic bread. I can't move very well today and it's hot outside.
I'm thinking a big salad with leftover chicken sounds awesome myself. And I hope you get feeling better. :hugs

I'm going to have to start throwing lettuce at the neighbors again, that stuff grows fast. We had beet greens for lunch and tonight I think roasted beets, potatoes, and carrots.

Moved the sad artichokes into bigger pots so they can begin to stretch out a bit and moved them out to the greenhouse deck. Got to go out right away though and mow the lawn, another storm is supposed to be coming.

Good evening all. I ended up outside after all. My oldest GS helped me break up flakes of hay, I started digging a hole for the MBOP and filled it with water; it was draining well at first but then really slowed down. I'll drag out the gypsum to add when I'm done. I finished cleaning behind the shed, then took out some scalloped edging and moved some logs in to slow run off while I improve the soil; the poor aloe are really struggling. Hubs cut the grass nice and short, it's filling in really well! I think we'll finally have room to put bougainvillea in the trash next week, I'm sick of the flowers! It's blooming like crazy because the grass gets watered regularly right in front of it. I have some sort of sage out front but it's never seen because of other things so I'm going to transplant that in the fall out to the backyard. The red MBOP in the front is doing to great! The yellow one is looking rough though. I need to water it a little bit tomorrow. Have a great Tuesday!
