What did you do in the garden today?

Day 10 of their lives and I still have 7 of 7 Blue Sumatras from Cackle. They have however, completely trashed my bathtub.I am not ready to move them outside as I lost 5 2 week olds last time I suspect to a possum. Also, my broodzilla lost 1 of her two to some predator until I left an over night light on for her and the remaining chick. She is a mean and fearless mother, and just couldn't defend her offspring in the dark.

Most of the windshield fencing is up. The last 25 foot piece hasn't come in the post yet. Sometime next week.

Was supposed to do a full Revolutionary War Dress event on monday afternoon. It will be 97 humid degrees by then. I told them I can't, just can't. Gowns are 4 layers plus a set of stays and long stockings. Just getting dressed can make you break a sweat, and then I have an hour drive there, and one back, and at least 30 minutes out in the heat. Yaaaaa......no. Maybe I'll see if I can do the photo shoot earlier in the day. It's not even a matter of being uncomfortable, that's dangerous.

It is is NOT pleasant. I'm going. But I'll be in the AC in the truck until the last second, and then right back in!

I'll switch to my all linen outfit which breathes like crazy. but a heat index of 100+ is still a heat index of 100+.
