Thanks @karenerwin, that sounds very doable. As far as venison tastes, it's been 60 years since I've had any so I can't remember what it tastes like anymore. My folks usually had most of it ground or made into sausage and I don't recall it tasting any different than beef but I was a pretty little kid.

@WthrLady we would get ice storms at least once a year in Portland but that was normally late in the winter and usually after snow. Beautiful but a horrible pain in the patoot.

I could be wrong but it doesn’t seem like it was that long ago you buzzed the alpacas. I’m curious how they handle that cold weather.

THey go naked on Mother's Day. They are already thick and woolen. They sleep outside, their choice, most of the winter unless it is snowing AND blowing very hard. They come in looking like TonTons, just a solid mass of snow. LOL Their fleece gets to 10 inches thick, they're wonderfully toasty. If it's going to be cold and rainy/foggy. I DO put their winter coats on them as it helps keep that fleece from getting deeply wet. They're cold zone animal. It's much harder keeping them COOL in the summer.

Over 5000sq Ft, a few stone gargoyles, and an all brick carriage house!

Built in 1891.

But, on less than a half acre, so not much space for a garden.

A friend lives in this town, so was telling us about it when they visited - which caused us to look it up and for kid to say we should get it! I'm sure there is some interesting history regarding this castle.

Wow! That is a thick a coat indeed. I was telling my son and DIL about your herd and that you have to shear them and my son changed his mind about wanting them lol.

$200 for all 6 combined, which includes teeth trimming and a pedicure

Yup! I agree! I've never been to it, so I can't give first hand info, but the listing is pretty interesting - a lot of character inside. No pics of the Carriage House, so it must not be in very good interior condition I would guess - too bad bc it looks pretty!

It is a pretty place. I’ll bet it would take at least half a million to renovate though and can you imagine the electric and heating bills? My heart skipped a beat! Although you could convert the main house to apartments and the carriage house to owners or managers quarters.
