What did you do in the garden today?

Good for you 🥰🥰

I wish! We got the Moderna. First shot was fine-ish. My arm felt like it was being ripped off (sorry) and Im not a wimp with pain. The second one made me sick with fever, chills, fatigue, etc, for about 36 hrs and then nothing. The arm was painful but not nearly as bad as the first. This was Monday and today I feel pretty good, but Tuesday and Wednesday morning weren't great.
I got the first one in my left and the second in my right; Im right handed, in case that matters.
I'm still suffering issues from my second shingles shot at the end of October. My deltoid muscle in the arm I got my shots in, just doesn't work right. I'm not at all happy about that.

Supposed to rain again tomorrow so I spent the evening in the garden again. Got more tires put into place... Didn't paint them though.

I mixed up some more soil so I could plant some of my partial flower order from Springhill in some temporary pots until I get my flower bed ready. I made too much soil so I trekked the extra down to the garden.

I planted green onions, chives, pickling cucumbers, kohlrabi, and lettuce... All from seeds.

I've never had really good luck with anything from seeds but I'm determined to keep trying! ☺

Roma and San Marzano tomatoes are up from seed! They'll get a full day on the warming mat (maybe two), and then I'll put on trays of cherry tomatoes.

The greenhouse deck is done, except for the top boards. I'll do those in the morning after the rain. Then I'll weed the garden and trim the suckers in the orchard.

I counted how many garlic are poking their heads up. 23 thus far. I planted more than that, but heck if I can remember exactly how many. Judging by gaps in the row, I'd say 3/4 have sprouted and don't care about the snow that's almost melted off now. The chives self-seeded last year as predicted and are already coming back. No signs of life from any of the other herbs yet. Sunday is supposed to be quite warm and pleasant, but our weekend and Monday are looking downright packed so I'm not sure I'll get anything done there.

Finished the jerky and it really turned out nice, I didn't use as much pepper in the marinade so DP really likes this batch. She got her second pfitzer vaccination today so since the second shot tends to be the more reactive, I'm planning on spoiling her tomorrow. My second is due on April 1st and I can't wait. I made oat cakes with soaked currants this time and they're good. Not much sugar in them and a good deal of fiber so a healthy snack. Didn't do much in the garden today other than cutting grass and clover for the critters and moving the grow out pen. I'll do more tomorrow.

The vet should have given you a pill shooter.
2x a pill shooter makes it so much easier. We had a dog with chronic issues and this was the only way to get one down her throat.

Have you told your doctor? They may need to check for blood clots or something similar.
Edit: Bursitis and Tendonitis can also be caused by improperly administered vaccines.

Now I gotta figure out what to do with the replacement seeds I bought! I can either create a separate planter OR wait till these grow a little more, add a little more dirt, and fill in the empty spots with the new seeds.... Hmmmm
We planted alpine strawberries with geraniums in a large pot on the deck -very attractive look.

BEAUTIFUL morning!! Sunny, clear.

here, we all got Pfizer vaccine. Spouse: no issues either time other than arm soreness. Young adult kid was tired after 1st shot, but no issues with second shot (in the military, but voluntarily chose to get the shots as it wasn’t required for their job). I’ve only gotten first shot, sore arm and a bit tired for a day.

Baby poults are doing GREAT! So far, eating and pooping and walking about. Hopefully positive trend continues. The BJG chicks are also doing well and getting along with the poults. They must all be very comfortable in their brooder bc hardly hear much except soft peeping.

the gourd seeds (a variety of known types), are only moderately sprouting. One in particular has not sprouted, so I went to look for more seeds. Still a good selection of seeds here, but I’ve noticed a reduced selection overall - they don’t seem to have gotten as many seeds in to sell at any of the home improvement or Walmart stores. So, I wasn’t able to find those seeds, even though they were for sale at the local store (Burpee brand). Maybe mine will still sprout, or I’ll wait until next year.

have a great day!

I'd love to see a picture.... All the alpines I ordered were white & yellow varieties instead of red. I have a lot of June & everbearing red strawberries so I wanted something different that the birds wouldn't pick over... I still need to get some netting up over my tower. Might do that today
