What did you do in the garden today?

Great day- sunny and up to mid-80s. Tomorrow windy and slightly cooler. Next week back to cool temps and near freezing at night.
That's how the weather is gonna be for me as well. Want to plant my seeds in the ground since they are getting big but worried it might be too soon with weather. Midwest is pretty unpredictable

but even indoors in a heated room a few pepper plants will sleep away their dormant stage and wake up ready to produce..
I had mine in the mud room, and I don't think it survived. What is a realistic low temp that they'll handle?

Yep, same here. 34, 27, 27 for overnight lows next week. I'm cheering myself up by saying, that'll keep the fruit trees from blossoming out too early. But that line is getting old...

Not much can be done today, I have run out (gasp) of seeds to plant outside and have enough of the rest started inside. Far too big of a risk of freezing still for a couple week so nothing else can go outside. Now I wait, for the spinach, lettuce and radish to come up, onions to grow and spring to really get here. I have blueberries, raspberries, grapes, currants, red bud and strawberries plants starting to come this next week and then more the next so I will be busy here soon!

Another ca-razy question for yall...
So raised bed...newly planted small plants grown from seed in the house of tomatoes, cucumbers, basil, onion, peppers, kale, spinach and lettuce...
I did harden them off for good week or 2 before planning.
I watered em in good (after fungus gnats hated to over water).
how often do I need to water the raised bed after 70s full sun days?
We are on vacation and it is supposed to rain all day tomorrow...but hasnt since Thursday.

Here is my 120 gallon water storage I have 2 at my 2 garden spots, a black tub warms in the sun and it’s much better to use warm water than cold when watering young plants (shock) and helps to warm the ground faster too, I use a 3 gallon water can to hand water everything, then soaker hoses when hot summer gets here.. and here is a good sized sucker, I’ll pinch it off at bottom and put in a glass of water this evening.. I have a few other Mater plants big enough now to have suckers, I’ll have to check em later.. but now we are headed to the cafe for breakfast and then hittin the creeks to check water levels and see if the crappie have moved up.. need some good rains for the catfishin to turn on in the creeks..
happy Sunday y’all !!
