What did you do in the garden today?

I would love to have one of those but my floors are not level. For some reason the previous homeowner put new hardwood floors on top of old hardwood floors so my living room floor is about 2 inches higher then the rest of the house. I figured a robot vac couldn't navigate that differential.
Heck, Mo would complain that it was falling off a cliff when it was on the bathmat and trying to get OFF. It had not problem getting on the mat though. LOL.
I finally had to put a magnetic barrier under the mat to keep it off. BTW, it's only 1/4 of an inch high and didn't complain of cliffs with the higher area rugs. Dumb thing.

Hopefully last night before freezing for us tonight. Looks like 34 tomorrow (which could be touch and go) but then it is in the 40s at night! Time to get some stuff in the ground, the cold hardy anyway. We will only be climbing to the mid/upper 50s during the day so no peppers or tomatoes yet. Can mint go out? And thyme? And lavender? Not fresh starts by any means-each is about 4-5 inches in diameter and the lavender is about 8 inches tall

Little dummy thought he was in trouble at first when I went out to take his picture lol. He probably thinks I'm listing him on Craigslist. :lau

Overcast and cold today. Frost warnings for next 2 nights. Low 50s as highs for the next few days.

Went to the farm store to get feed. They grow many plants - huge variety of tomato starts. I went in to get a few along with some flowers. I ended up with 4 “new to me” varieties.

“Bloody butcher” (early type)

“Stump of the world” (apparently popular)

“Sweetheart” (a small heart shaped tomato)

“”Hayslip”. (Can’t remember the description).

Left my starts on the deck last night -they look ok today although it got to about 40F last night, but will put them in the garage for the night the next few nights.

The seed shed is officially closed and the greenhouse is open.
There is a shade cloth up over them until they can get used to the real sun and the fan is blowing on them, vents are open.
New box is up, old box and post are down and the area is seeded.
I may drive up to a northern feed store today to get another egg basket.
Too windy to let the birds out.
I have 12 large Spring mums almost ready for sale.

Yesterday I prepped the big corner bed. It's intended to be the herb bed, but DH is a little behind on building out the other beds so I'm usurping the "herb" bed for growing stuff I need to get in the ground pretty much now.

Planning on okra, maybe some corn, watermelons, pie pumpkins, hopefully some squash but it's not that big of a spot so we'll see.
