I have Victoria & one that I don't know what it is. The Victoria I love, big stems, very hardy, not too tart & it's a popular one so you may be able to find it easily. My neighbor has one of the giant types, they get like 4 or 5 feet tall! I think the really red types are very pretty.

Oh & my strawberries are in a raised bed, I pulled all flowers last year & this year they look fantastic. They are flowering now.

This was them over a week ago, with the first buds, they seem happy enough I think

I have strawberries in raised beds too! And I don't know what kind of rhubarb we have, 3 different crowns from 3 different people. I never have bought from a store. Maybe you can find someone that has divided theirs? Craigslist is where I found 1 of mine.

Gorgeous weather the last week, and yet Ive barely been able to climb out of bed.
I recomend Dont get Covid. 0 stars would not do again.

Tentatively trying to do a bit of work, got willow and elderberry to plant still. Trying to clear the very small patch of Knotweed growing where I want to place them. Frequent breaks required.

I have a fill tube with a slice of water noodle in the tube to indicate the water level. When the indicator is level with the fill tube, then I refill it with the garden hose. Here is a pic of what that looked like before the bean plants block your view.

Could you explain it for my wee brain please.
There's a tube in your raised bed and do you only put water in it or the whole bed? And does the noodle indicate water needed when it is dry?

Morning all.
75 degrees at 7am and the dewpoint is 74. It is revolting out there. Critters are fed and everything is watered for the day. AC is on and so are the air scrubbers for pollen and smoke.
I really need to pot up some tomatoes, but will only do it if I can stand to be out there later.
There's a local full organic farmer that sells really odd varieties of tomatoes. I stopped by to grab a few to clone and save seed for next year. I also picked up some herbs for my herb corner so I don't have to grow whole flats of herbs just for me.
Arthritis is winning today.

For dandelion enthusiasts! This also explains why some of y'all may not be able to grow the dandelions at all, while in other places they grow prolifically.

He's also a bit of a nut and fun to watch, with some really corny punny jokes along the way.

Watering, trying not to be outside right now. The humidity levels are relatively high and it's been sticky and icky for two days. Nothing but 90s and 100s in the forecast!

Watched a homesteader video last night on youtube where they talked about being absolutely overwhelmed last year by 17 okra plants. I have more than that planted, not that many up though, but still... starting to wonder if I got a little too enthusiastic? I'll get a better count later.
