As expected, Clifford goes invisible in the blacklight. Only his white spots glow neon, glowstick, green. Making him super hard to spot when you look too fast, unlike his giant fat neon green glowstick cousins. UGH.

No, but I think I should try them.

They have Every. Tomato. Known. In. The. Tomato-verse! I've ordered from them, got my order quickly, prices were very reasonable.

My hardneck (Music variety) garlic stores well in my basement. By February/March, it gets a bit shriveled and tries to sprout, but I use it anyway. I use 2-3 cloves when they get that way, to make up for the smaller size.

I feel the same way.

I'm definitely blaming @WthrLady when my DH asks me why I have a gazillion seed packets of tomatoes for next spring's garden....

Exactly! I'm super curious to know which color variety. I used to be very, very into collecting moths and butterflies.

We have a small plot of land... Not huge but enough to sustain our family. If things go seriously off the rails, here are my suggestions -

1. Make alliances with family, friends, and neighbors. Know who you can depend upon for what skills (cooking, sewing, mending or fixing things, medicine, etc), look for ways to barter locally, and make a plan with these people on how you will DEFEND your food & water sources.

2. I personally don't think I or anyone could ever have enough ammo... Not matter how much you've got, the enemy has more. So you have to learn OTHER ways to defend yourself and your property. Learning basic self defense is something you can do whether you are 5 yrs old or 90 yrs old. We used to teach people of all ages, body sizes, etc. The important part is to PRACTICE because these skills will fade if you don't. You can also learn how to make....um, devices...to place around your property for protection if you don't have guns. These can be made from everyday items you would have access to. You just need to understand a bit of chemistry and what SAFETY measures to take to ensure you don't harm yourself or others unintentionally. Whatever you do, DO NOT GOOGLE THIS STUFF or your (perhaps unfriendly) local or federal law enforcement will be at your doorstep. I'd suggest looking in the library first. You'd be surprised what you can find there...

pigs or wild boars are another option. if I don't feed them in the evening they would eat any night intruder, lol.

I can google anything here. unfortunately we don't have real government.

It’s really not much different than eating mushrooms. I’ve never seen or met anyone who has actually tried it fresh ever diss on it before.

how do you cook corn fungus? I have never seen it, but if it ever happens it would be good to know.

Can’t wait to let the ladies in! My kale starts are only an inch high and planted in a few places. Once they get bigger, the flock will have free access plus hawk protection from me sitting out there with them. I need the kale for the fall, so I have to wait just a bit longer to let them go…

I fence it stuff I want to harvest, or put some plastic over it, big glas jars help too as long as the plants are small or wir cages and let the chickens run free

There are different wavelengths of UV blacklight and now the dork in me really needs a Clifford so I can see if my 365nm UV light shows a different color. Lol!
