What did you do in the garden today?

Just as an FYI if an animal that size, fox are fairly small, ever attacks you like that, and keeps at it, grab it by it's head, it probably has its jaws locked anyways like that one did, and whip / body slam it into the ground, or against a tree or something. The purpose being to bash it's internal organs or snap it's neck, bend it's back, backwards enough to snap it/ rendinging it much less likely to keep attacking. If there is a tree, sign post, light pole, car, something to whip snap it's body against, do so.

Fingers to the eyes to crush them, or strangulation may work too. You need to neutralize this animal asap. Crushing external genitals may buy you some time as well to get a better grip at the neck / get away. Remember, this thing is not in it's right mind anymore, it's trying to kill you !! You need to go medieval to survive.

once you do kill it, preserve the head for medical personnel so they can examine for rabies. However TBH if it IS attacking like that, it's probably Rabies or late stage parvo.

This is why you should carry a knife / gun, even in your OWN garden, and know how to use it!

I once found a wood chuck under a raspberry bush that wasn't right. It might have been dying, I don't know. I finished it off with a .357 (because my other choice was a .22, not enough).

Okay, so who is it that shreds and freezes cucumbers ?? @Sueby is it you??
Me too! Like @Sueby I do not peel and haven't had any that are bitter. I do spread on a cookie sheet to freeze before food saving them or tons of liquid comes out and seals don't seal or even last. I just it then for muffins and bread in the dead of winter

it's only 4 small shots now in the arm for rabies, unlike the old days.
Still, shots suck, period I don't care what they are, (well unless they are a good whiskey) those shots are ok then :)

I had this vaccination due to getting bit by a feral cat about 5 years ago. I had to have some gel style shots in the hip, side, arm and wrist (bite spot) and then 3 more arm shots within certain amount of days. Shots weren't horrible but they caused extremely intense body aches.

Oh man, sorry to hear that. Yah, depending on how you were bit, where, if you were ever given a rabies shot before, been bit before, there are few things they have to take into consideration and a few treatment methods too. The body aches is your immune system going into fight mode over it. but given rabies is a death sentence, a few weeks uncomfort might be a fair price to pay.
