What did you do in the garden today?

Finally pulled the grass up. It was stinking hot yesterday and I didn't get out until after 8 when it was starting to get dark already so I didn't get much done. Enough though, lol. Today it's cooler. I'm going to pop out and see what I can get done.

It's going to cool down this week! I mean like highs in the mid 70s and lows dropping into the upper 40s!!! Still no rain in sight though. I watered the garden today as a result. The broccoli seedlings died. I might have to start them indoors instead. I also went ahead and transplanted the 2 plum tree saplings I've been babying for 2 years. They are still pitifully small so it's a gamble. One is about 18" now. The other is about half that size.

I really need to gather up tomatoes and spray the fruit trees and berries. Not enough time in the day....

Not sure what is going to happen, have the potential of a hurricane hitting, still those predictions pretty much NEVER match what they say 5 days out .vs. when it hits. My totes are a bit low on water, been hot lately and a little piss wizzle of rain here and there is not enough to really water things properly so ive been using about 3 to 400 gallons daily. Not to mention the work on the Tilapia pond. So, if we do get a few inches it'll definitely be well received. I already got things lined up so it'll be a direct gravity drop from the roof right into 6k of storage I got waiting.

Ok, I got out and pulled the rest of the grass, plus pulled up a bunch of puncture vine in the yard. Got the EWO planted and watered in, thanks again @Sally PB for awesome quality bulbs. I've never had any store-bought bulbs that looked that good!

I also watered the half of the garden that is delicate seedlings for fall and then had the adventure of figuring out why the heck the water supply tank wasn't refilling. Rigged a fix for now that keeps my clean water supply going (we were without clean water for showers and dishes for 3 weeks due to a bum pump y'all might recall, so salt deposits everywhere ugh), but will have to have hubby make a more permanent fix after work as this version requires checking in a few hours and manual shutoff.

So there I was aug 18..ordered all my fall seeds...not cheap. From Urban farmer seeds. Yup I had ordered from them quite a few times had dealt with customer service and had no issues in the past.
Nothing showed up
I waited and waited and waited. Suddenly it was marked as Shipped and DELIVERED on the same day I bought the seeds! What the Frick and frack is going on.
I Email customer service just like before...mailer.daemon....email address doesn't exist!! So far I feel like an odd stalker because I call them every day and leave a message. Aaaaaaand nothing nada. Hope you all aren't having any issues but now I have to wait and reorder all my early spring seeds I don't know where the money is gonna come from. On a happier note I got new glasses today that are almost toddler proof and it's a beautiful day before the hurricane Saturday. For all those I recommend Urban farmer seeds to I'm sorry I hope they are treating you better than me because right now it also looks like I won't get my garlic either. Fml

Nothing in the garden today but a quick peek while I was visiting the compost tumbler. There are several okra that are responding to the sunshine so they should be ready to pick tomorrow. Picked up my new adopted dog yesterday. She’s doing well and getting along with Max. I think he may be worried that she is his replacement. Oh no little dude, that’s your girlfriend. Lol! Still need to make the peach salsa. Perhaps after I feed the chickens and the dogs. Welcome to the thread @musikfan. Like @WthrLady said, it’s been a rough gardening season for most of us. My SM tomatoes did really well so can’t complain too much. Have a great day all.

Call your creditcard company and file a complaint, tell them it's fraud and you want to initiate a chargeback. I bet they'll be real talkative then.

Yep, when the money goes away silent companies suddenly have a way of wanting to "make things right." I'm seeing other reviews online that mention the same problem you're having @esturtz27. You may want to lodge a complaint with the BBB as well (where their rating is abysmal by the way). They get enough of those eventually it shows up on internet searches.

If enough people complain about them the credit card companies will eventually get tired of them too and cancel their services. (NO you can no longer use Visa to defraud people, we are tired of the chargebacks) that'll help take the bad players out of circulation too. Plus it might get you your money back !

The post office unfortunately I have found them to be about as useful as tastebuds on an @$$hole when it comes to filing complaints and lost package issues, but you can give it a try, at least try to see where the package went. That is on THEM when that happens, a package just mysteriosly disappears. They will try to automatically deny it first time,they always done that with me but if you keep on them, sometimes you can get an actual human being. ie HOW does a package get 'delivered' the same day, you clowns can't make it back from lunch on time half the times let alone deliver a package same day !!
