What did you do in the garden today?

Gave in and went to the chiropractor . Taking it easy . Rain coming tomorrow and cooler temps . Leaves are mostly down on my maples .
Don't look at it as 'giving in'. Look at as more of, taking care of myself.
There is NO reason to be in constant pain, and if a few pins and needles poked here and there can fix that, they DO IT. Trust me, the alternative is narcotics, and you don't want to go down that route if you don't have to, because it's a hard road to get off of once you do get on it.

I can't believe here it is almost November, and I'm still picking, canning and freezing like crazy!
Still getting tomatoes and peppers from our garden too, I don't want anything to go to waste.
Leeks: They were so pitiful as seedlings, but after planting them outside, they look better and better.
I've got to get some leeks going myself now that the rain has started. Rained again last night and it's drizzling now. I just ordered some leek seeds from Johnny's.

The jam still hasn't set so I'll toss it in a pot today see if a bit more cooking and maybe a little packaged pectin gets the job done. The dish washer repair guy is coming today with the replacement part so I should have a working dish washer sometime today!

A small slurry of cornstarch and jam juice, Don't need allot will set it fast.
That is my go to anymore.

I harvested every okra over two inches this morning. We were forecasted to get some wild windy weather and I didn't want to risk the plants getting blown over and the crop being lost to bugs or cats or whatever. I also picked any tomatoes that had started to not be 100% green. Usually the older of my two kids won't touch tomatoes, but he's massively enjoying, and asking for more!, of these homegrown cherry tomatoes.

Other than that just been doing indoor chores. Sorting out kids clothes that are too small, laundry, etc. Whole RV is rocking in the wind, feeling a little seasick, sheesh.

Still no frost in the forecast, but if the wind eases up this evening, or maybe tomorrow, I'll get out and get my cover up. One of the pumpkin vines has set at least one fruit that's still super small, smaller than a golf ball. I don't know if it'll produce, but next year I'll be sure to plant earlier. Assuming I plant much next year... Might be a bit of an odd year to be honest. If we buy the property and get enough house built, we'll move out there to save on rent, but that means nobody here will be watering plants or harvesting from them...

*sigh* Logistics need to be worked out.

I swapped some more sand for chicken run gold with my neighbor. I'll be feeling it tomorrow, but right now, that stuff looks so dark and rich... Can't wait for spring to see how all the plants like it.

(Never wish time away, Sally; it goes by quickly enough!)

Today is probably the end of the 70s and warm breezes. But it sure was a wonderful stretch of gorgeous days.

Hey everyone! I'm about 5 pages behind so I apologize if I missed anything...

I have an important question for you beekeepers out there. I am looking for 100% pure beeswax candles. No additives or coloring. Au natural. They must be 3" x 5" minimum. I need 10 of them, preferably, or enough beeswax to make them. I would prefer them without any kind of container (glass, metal, etc). Just a basic candle. If you have any for sale, please PM me?

I've looked on Etsy and found a few there but no one has 10. Besides I'd rather buy from and support someone I know if I can afford it. I'm also checking around locally with some beekeepers.
