What did you do in the garden today?

Went fishing yesterday and today. Finally have enough for a meal. Cool wet days of off and on rain.

I pulled the floating row cover from the kale and Brussels sprouts so they could get a little rain. I need to cover them up later so the deer don't eat them tonight.

Lots more of the replanted turnips are growing leaves now too. I think they like this cool wet weather.

Canning green beans and cleaning up spent cucumber vines.

I'll be the odd duck out. Dry as a bone and mid 80s and into the 90s still.

It's sprinkling right now, and rain is forecast for tomorrow. We need it; September has been dry.

I had a nap attack this afternoon. It felt good.

We've had 6 inches since Sat. & it's still raining.

I love naps.

The summer garden is just existing, a few small green tomatoes and peppers may ripen, or not.

The fall crops are coming along nicely, though the turnips got a little flattened by the tropical storm over the weekend.

Didn't you also plant some carrots? I planted carrots and leaf lettuce a few days ago, and the seeds are currently being soaked with rain. Hope they don't wash away.
