What did you do in the garden today?

This is the Asters that grow wild here. Cutting back should make them bushier. More and more I like native flowers.

Ok luffa experts. I saw some chatter about them, so I figured I'd drop in & ask your opinion on mine :frow This is my 1st time growing them. I was feeling them up today & they are a bit soft & squishy. Is that bad? We got down to 37 a couple weeks ago & will get down to that tonight. The vines & leaves are all still green & healthy looking though. The goal is to make sponges out of them, not eat them. Thanks!

G’morning all. We will have all the raised beds built today and get them outside. The manufacturer advised it was beyond the time I could do anything about the missing parts, not surprised and it is what it is. I was able to make it all work so I’ll still have roughly the same amount of planting space in that area. I’m going to use the smallest as a hugelbed. In the two taller beds I have decided not to use the water reservoirs; they may flood the beds if we get a deluge, and we get them. I am going try one in the small square bed but will drill a drain hole in the side of the water reservoir first. If I like it, I may add them to the larger beds later. Next project will be the shade garden; need to set up the DWC buckets in there, run power and set up the air pump. And build the trellises for the dragon fruit.
