What did you do in the garden today?

Did nothing in the garden today.
3pm and we just cracked 32'F and that won't last long. Good grief. 82'F 48 hours ago.
Fairly certain the mums are toast.
Stayed in (except for livestock duties) and baked 4 loaves of bread after milling wheat.
Mums are pretty tough.

I have muscovy, pekin, mallard and indian runner ducks. pekin, mallard and indian runner always get back in the coop. half of my muscovies have to be chased back every single evening. I am sick and tired of that.
I have 13 ducks. My original 7 are Pekin (2 hens), Silver Appleyard (1 drake, 1 hen), and Welsh Harlequin (3 hens). They rarely give me trouble and go right back to their coop well before dusk.

The "troublemakers" are the 6 babies I ended up with last summer that I never intended to get. 😂 It's a long story how I ended up with them. Four of them are offspring from my original flock (1 drake, 3 hens). The other 2 are Ancona - Indian Runner mixes (1 drake, 1 hen). All are a PITA. They are constantly beating up on my other ducks. They never want to go in their coop at night. It's a nightmare to get them to leave the pond without having to chase them out. And these are the a-holes who disappeared yesterday. 🙄

Finally getting some rain tonight. We really badly need it. I don't think it's rained in a month after getting TOO much rain last month. We've got a burn ban currently. It's been cold and hovering around freezing at night for the past few days. Yuck. My peach trees and dogwoods have bloomed so I'm hoping it warms up soon before it kills the blossoms.
