I watered a little and pruned the lower branches off the tomatoes.
I mowed and then we walked the pastures, pulling buffalo burr.

Nope....not even a whiffDo they have any skunky smell to them?
Yes, it's painful. I just planted the seed potatoes in mid to late April so I doubt they are even close to ready. That's got to hurt! Are there potatoes of any size under the plants yet?
wow, our baby skunks were musky smelling and came fully armed. But they were just over a week old.Nope....not even a whiff
This is my life.if they root, I am going to be absolutely psyched! And absolutely confused about where the heck I'm going to put them!
We are almost finished getting rid of the goat heads... Been getting rid of them for 10 years.Add:
Nutsedges
Bermuda grass
Johnsongrass
That's a great idea!old hay bales and I'm going to peel "slices" off to use for mulch.
We call them goat heads and devil burrspuncture vine
Mine only want to eat tree leaves....I guess my chickens are spoiled, they only go for the chick weed.
Everyone needs a hori hori! Best garden tool in my arsenal! Great for weeds, planting and cultivating.Nothing much today, it's been thundery, storms on and off. I did trim some weeds with my hand pruners, pulled more wisteria and Virginia Creeper. And some other stuff trying to take over the yard.
We're back on keto. I live keto most of the time but took a month break last month. I went from 192 to 132 over a year. Before I had my son. After him I got to 170, now I'm hanging out at about 134. I work out a lot now, when I don't have something wrong with me... Which has been a lot recently. I feel like every time I get back into working out, something happens and I have to take it easy... It's frustrating. That’s the glory of a low carb diet. You can eat what you want so low as the carb count is low. I’ve lost 40lb since Jan. 29.
Yes. Some sort of generic heirloom my local stores carry every other year that grows good in my locality.
Yup.... Fire season is going to be brutal this year.In CA I don't think a flame thrower would be a good idea due to the drought but I am still trying to figure out how to get rid of the weeds without chemicals. I haven't tried to save zinnia seeds but I don't have a problem growing them, of course that could be the zone I am in.
I have had trouble with my bush beans as well. I'm going to go all out and plant a ton this weekend.Me too old seeds ! I had 3 plants out of 12! I replanted with 3-4 seeds in holes. A few more came up and at least they're all gone now. I only had 1 out of 7 pole beans come up. !
We handled all 5 to give them a little bit of sugar water and electrolytes since they've been 5 days without momma. None of them smelled even the slightest bit musky. But when we took the last 2 to the rehab, one of the babies was inconsolable. He cried the entire 30 minute ride there and kept trying to crawl up into my daughter's hair. While we never smelled anything musky in the car, my daughter said her hands were smelling a bit musky from holding him. That was a first because we both were checking our hands and clothing for smell earlier as we were handling them and got nothing.wow, our baby skunks were musky smelling and came fully armed. But they were just over a week old.
