What did you do in the garden today?

I picked enough okra for two meals. We are getting enough for about 5-6 meals a week.

I tried making bread out of it but it didn't really work out. I'm going to keep trying though because I love new food. Thank you so much for the seeds.

Mine turned out really thick so I will just keep trying until I get the right consistency. I will make a pie or 2.

I believe I counted about 5 cushaw pumpkins just starting to come out so it's going to be a little while but I am definitely looking forward to the pies and hopefully bread.

For anyone who uses the City Picker garden boxes, do you know of how or where to get replacement wheels? I was moving my plants back outside (still got to move about half of them) and one of the wheels broke. I’m only seeing replacement covers presently.

I've never seen beef hoof bones for sale.

Last October at Walmart they were selling whole Hogs heads. I didn't notice the hogs head, I was busy reading my shopping list. Jerry picked up the hogs head and held it about 5 inches away from my face. When I looked up and saw the hogs head I gave out a very loud YELP. Everyone stared at me, I think they thought I was crazy.

Just ordered hard neck garlic for fall planting. Sone varieties were already sold out!!!

What variety did you order?

I was looking for another variety to add to the Music that I've been planting for years. Last year I got some German White, and I couldn't tell any difference between the two types. The cloves looked the same, and as far as I could tell, tasted the same. I was hoping for a bit more bite to the flavor.

So I looked up different varieties, and thought metechi sounded good. I have some on order to plant this fall for next year.

From what picture I could find the casters look like a standard part. Take one of the good casters to HomeDepot or Lowes and see if they can find a match.

Or maybe it's new enough to still be under warranty, and you could go that route.
