What did you do in the garden today?

65 new record for today old record was 59. Not going to see 65 again for quite a while. Honey do today I assembled a laptop stand for DW. She made me redo it twice and finally accepted the original assembly. I do read and follow directions. Had to humor her even though I knew her way would not work. She wanted it reversed. Not designed that way. Ordered some trees.

I received my Irish Cobbler potatoes from amazon today. I am relieved that they are firm and not mushy like I experienced the last time I ordered seed potato. I am new to potatoes, so I was wondering if it's okay to lay them in promix and cover the top half with a inch of Mallard Creeks pine shavings to make the eyes come out? Right now, it looks like a Yukon Gold potato from my supermarket.

Put them under light to chit them.

I had two Black Krim plants last year. One produced red fruits, the other bright yellow fruits. Both plants had the same growth habit, and the tomatoes were the same shape and size.

I saved seeds and will grow several of them this year to see what happens.

That's weird- mine are nice super dark purple tomatoes. Your yellow ones look like Dr.Wyches with the way they are formed.

Today I emailed one of the suppliers of beneficial nematodes to ask if the marigolds I’m planning for critter repelling/pollinator and beneficial insect attraction would do the nematodes any harm. They already responded back and said no! 🥳 So it looks like I won’t have to awkwardly pot them around my primary planters after all!
