What did you do in the garden today?

Need advice from an elder fellow, (or lady), do these type of tomatoes need to have the shoots/suckers removed?View attachment 4141305View attachment 4141306
Edit: the end of the branches look like flowers, but the package says “indeterminate”.
All of my tomatoes that had suckers I removed. If you want more, you can put them in soil and they will grow a new plant.
The curling leaf could be caused by a variety of reasons- heat, nutrition, lack of water etc.
 
Some years back, it reported on our tv here that a parcel was addressed to Australia, but it ended up in AusTRIA. The post office in Austria send it back to Australia, and then again it got send back to AusTRia and so it went back and for 3 or 4 times before it delivered to the intended recipient in Australia. ....I get it that they were wrong the first time, but again after that is just.........

Austria is not Australia is not Austria
Did this have anything to do with the US Postal system? It sounds like how our inept system works.
 
I grew up in upper Midwest in the US. We were ALWAYS outside as kids. Never had any sunscreen. I can also remember people constantly tanning to get dark tans... Anyone remember those "show us your tan" contests in the 80s?

Anyway, I had a very good childhood friend who lived in Yeppoon on the Great Barrier Reef. I can remember back then her saying that skin cancer was really bad and Australians were very health conscious about it. That was back in the 80s...When I went to visit her, I can remember many people (all Australians) telling me that tourists are easy to spot because they are the only ones tanning or not wearing sunscreen. (And also the only people swimming during "winter" - their winter, our summer - but still it was easily 70 degrees outside. 😂)
In the 70s and 80s, sunscreen, WTH was THAT?! LOL. Only life guards wore white zinc on their noses. Otherwise it was tanning OIL, the best SPF on the market, even in the mid to late 80s was SPF 4 FOUR! OMG it smelled so good. Sea and Ski clear, smelled like lemons.
 
Pulled my scapes off my garlic.. saving to put in an omelet then will process some for garlic scape pesto. I just make my basic pesto in food processor but a lot less basil and use the scapes. I freeze it in smaller portions for later use. Will dry some, grind or and ad to a good course salt for later use also.
I cut off all of my scapes too. There were 4 or 5 that are just peeking out that I'll get later.

I have what I need for the braised rabbit stew I'm making today, plus there were enough for me to make a pint of pickled garlic scapes. Vinegar, water, salt, sugar, mustard seeds and black peppercorns. And a pinch of hot red pepper flakes. I'll try them out in a couple weeks.

I just had a thought that the brine will be good stuff to add to recipes when the scapes are gone.
