... Finally having to start watering everything although we have a higher chance of rain in the next couple of days. Fingers crossed!

Shouldn't have had my fingers crossed quite so tightly. Before I could get to any watering yesterday (fortunately,) we got a storm. Almost 2 inches of rain! 1.85" to be precise. The creek's up.

I vacuum up the squash bugs with a little hand held car vac. I also only grow bush squash & tie them up a garden pole and keep them well trimmed - otherwise they grow under cover. Since doing this I really don't have much of a bug problem. *knockonwood*

We have some volunteer cow peas and I never noticed till this year that the blooms smell good-sweet

We are still getting rain, storms really, every day. My zinnias have succumbed to a mold and the lemon tomatoes some kind of fungus.
The beefsteak have gotten over their dramatic stage and need to be suckered.
Will have okra soon.
These vining limas you have to tie up. I thought they hand tendrils but nope.
Got about 3 lbs of cucumbers so next week it’s pickling time!

grow bags so they can be moved in an emergency

This is something I should do. I’ve always been an in the ground gardener which requires a commitment to ‘weed wars’. BTW, Slovenia is home to what I consider the best automatic chicken door out there (RunChicken),and their customer service is fantastic.
