What did you do in the garden today?

I picked apricots today. Made 30 jars of jam and I still have 3 flats of fruit to process. Going to test out the freeze dryer soon...

Turns out the large pro only needs a dedicated 15amp circuit so I can just use the dryer circuit.

We have a trampoline now. I got a 45 minute workout. I'm scared of how my body is going to feel tomorrow. 😂

I found one of the best mangos in someone’s yard, and I was thinking on asking him for a branch.
My question is: can I graft this mango into an older mango tree? I have a 70 years old seedling tree, and I wanted to make it half my tree and half of that other person’s tree. If it’s impossible, I would just grow a new seedling mango to graft this one on.
Thanks for the answers. image.jpg this is my old tree. (It was cut almost completely around five years ago) to make things even MORE interesting, apparently MY tree is a seedling of one of the other person’s trees. And that person’s father had a large mango plantation in the 1950’s, this tree that I found in his back yard is one of the leftovers from back then.

I don't think the age matters as long as the scion is from a fruiting tree. Also, as long as one side of the sion lines up with the branch it will catch if done right. I wrap my scion with parafilm to keep the moisture locked in and I use clear grafting film to wrap the cut. It's good to prepare the scion before cutting it off the tree by taking the leaves off and waiting for a small bud to form or find one with a bud nob already formed.
