What did you do in the garden today?

Picked cabbages for making kraut this morning.

Chopped the cabbages, weighed them out, added salt and have it macerating in a big bowl for a few hours to pull out the water. Then it goes into the fermenter.
1500 grams cabbage
35 grams salt @ ~ 2.35% salt concentration

I found 3 pea-size slugs hidden in the cabbage leaves. Hope I found them all. :sick

Chickens got a nice treat of all the outer leaves and cores. And the slugs. LOL

Picked the last two cabbages and put them in the fridge. I left the plants in the ground so I can get a crop of baby cabbages from them later on.

Watered the tomatoes and peppers down by the woods.

I have 3 different kinds of zucchini planted. Black Beauty, Fordhook, and Italian something-or-other. Fordhook is the first have female blossoms.

I like the idea of slicing a very young squash and putting it in scramble eggs. I might do that for lunch tomorrow.

Comfrey and wormwood plants are specialty plants, they are not available in majority of nursery here, only specialty nursery and even they only have it once in awhile, not a stock plants.

I read that they are great for chickens. It took me a long time to get these plants and comfrey like a delicate plants, often died off and I potted a few so I still have 2 in a pots.

Wormwood plant I had survived, but it does not do so well, seem to delicate, but on the internet these plants are all glory and enduring.

What did I do wrong? Thank you for any advice.
