What did you do in the garden today?

Okay. These ones were specifically labeled as freeze dry and not dehydrator but maybe they lied then? IDK.

They were abusing the keyword function on Walmart.com and putting freeze dryer in the title to get hits, and maybe tricking people into buying them AS freeze dryers. They are not.

I broke down and bought a bag of King Arthur bread flour today, first time ever I bought bread flour. I think I'll make a loaf with my Kitchen Aid mixer and bake it in the oven instead of using the bread machine.

I let my bread machine knead the dough, then take it out to rise elsewhere. Much better texture on the bread and it makes 2 loaves instead of one.

Huge wasp nest in one of my plum trees! Hubby got rid of it as soon as it got dark last night, thank goodness! I have a dog who loves to snap at bees to try and catch them, silly girl. Can't imagine how bad it would've been if she'd gone after one of those.

It's been kind of misty outside all day long, off and on. Very nice for a change. I mowed down all the weeds in the yard, got a little wet but didn't get dusty as usually happens. Picked a pair of pickling cukes and put them in the fridge with the others. Thinned out the new row of cucumbers. It was all easy work after my grocery shopping trip. Got a pot of black bean chili cooking on the stove, and'll probably cook some rice to spoon it over.

I got some sage to dry. For the plant only being 4-5 months old I am very happy with how much I’ve been getting from it.
