What did you do in the garden today?

A couple of years ago a work friend was cleaning out her grandmother's house which she'd recently inherited. She found some canning jars and gave them all to me. Besides the quarts and pints, I am the owner of 30 or so half gallon antique Ball, Mason, and Atlas changing jars. Out of curiosity I checked the interwebs. 😲 That was a valuable gift.
What a great gift. I have two or three half gallon jars but have yet to find process times for canning recipe. Of course, I never actually looked. Can we assume you still have the jars?

I had to boil a pot of water to clean these tomatoes. Got a little over half a tray for freezing and after dumping the water I realized I have a lot more tomatoes in need of eating or freezing so I boiled ANOTHER big pot of water and after it cools I’ll fill the rest of the tray

I use mine for dry storage, my protein powders, chips, crackers, cereal etc.
Whatever doesn't come in its own package is stored in less breakable containers with wider mouths. My kitchen floor is porcelain tile and the dogs and I all love being barefoot. I'm a bit of a klutz and they are tall enough their tails sometimes knock things off surfaces. 🥴

I got a female blossom on one of my melon plants! 🎉 I attempted to hand-pollinate with a Q-tip - there’s been a fair amount of bee activity around those plants but I’m paranoid and impatient. I’m new to growing melons, how long will it take to see if it ‘took’ and form a proper melon if it did? It’s a cantaloupe/muskmelon.

Squash is still looking sickly, I fertilized it again. Right now I’m not holding high hopes that it does anything this year though. 😔
