What did you do in the garden today?

Or you could just add hardwood ashes to your compost pile.

I don’t have an easy way to obtain ashes (no fireplace etc) nor a compost pile. And doesn’t that mess with the PH too?

I have around 50-60 yellow cayenne pepper seeds drying. I blew my nose right after touching the seeds and now my nose is burning very badly.

😣 Yeah you want gloves when working with hot peppers. I made that mistake a few years back too.

I’m used to using ghost and scorpion peppers for cooking and always wash my hands after touching those but I wasn’t thinking how I would be touching the pepper for 5+ minutes. Gloves are now going into my garden cabinet. I’m just glad I learned my lessons this year when I’m not growing any super hots

I turned 5 pounds of fresh green beans into 9 canned pints of beans this morning. I had extra so I had to put a pint of beans in the freezer too.

Picked a few cukes, pruned off some cuke vine suckers and got a nice sized zucchini. I also trimmed the ends off a few butternut squash vines so the plants can put their energy into maturing the existing squashes. I don't know if it was the right thing to do, but I did it anyway. LOL

Watered peppers, tomatoes and beans.
