What did you do in the garden today?

Still raining. Last time I looked the rain gauge was up to 2.5 inches. I picked more green beans this morning and my first SM tomato. Also picked kale. I have 3 tiny acorn squashes developing. The weather is still on the warm side for the next 10 days but I’m not sure if frost blankets will keep it warm enough until it gets to an edible size. The developing summer squash and cucumbers should be fine especially with this rain.

We have 2 older established trees with really good fresh eating pears but my 7-year-old pear tree that finally produced this year had small pears that weren't naturally sweet. So, I made Pearsauce today, because my husband and I thought it sounded good, so why not. :D

Based on the past 3 days the weather app says that we only got around an inch or so but given that my buckets had 2-3 inches of rain in them yesterday I’m not sure how trustworthy that is
We can get very localized, heavy downpours here, at times. "They" will say we got a half inch in our area, but there will be a generous inch in the bucket.

We have gotten an inch plus in the past 4 days. Spread out that way, it soaks in and does the most good.

No rain in the forecast for the next 8 days though. :hmm
