What did you do in the garden today?

@Minanora

shoes size 10? are you a giant?
No, actually I'm petite. I'm 5'4" with a 28" inseam. My spouse towers over me at 6'4". When I walk with him I feel like the human equivalent of a corgi dog.

In school other girls made fun of my feet so I reminded them that I just have more foot to shove up their butts. But I didn't say it quite as nicely.

Despite my size, I had an impressive 17' 9" running long jump. Obviously, I didn't do the high jump.

These days I don't do many sports but I am still quite strong and appreciate my large feet. Gives me good balance, better for climbing, and makes standing on my toes actually helpful for reaching things. 🤣

I wear a size 10.5-11 shoe, am 5' 6.5" and remember my cousin saying, "Sally, you have big feet," when I was about 4. I thought he was just teasing. Sigh.

I once saw a cute pair of shoes (about size 5) and they weren't cute in size 10. Another time, I asked if they "had these shoes in size 10?" and the salesman laughed at me.

I don't buy dress shoes because I don't dress up. (I own one dress; haven't worn it in decades.) My feet get me where I need to go. I thank them for that and try to give them comfortable shoes. I need them to last as long as I do. So far, so good! :)

Ugh I feel rough again but not as bad, Fever gone mucus dried up. Muscles sore from coughing.
YAY for feeling better !
--------
cleaned out the gas fireplace this morning as I sit and wait for the internet guy.
I need to strip down the rest of the old manure bin and salvage some lumber to use on the new one, which I need to get to building.
I need to string the henhouse lights.
I need to package freeze dryer stuff.
I need to pull tomato fences and redo them in a new place.
I need to assemble a new sewing table and thread a loom and weave.
I need to do a lot of things, but allergies... ugh
between them and the day after shots body hangover....bleh

Spent some time yesterday and today cleaning up onions and shallots for storage. Trimmed off the tops and roots and rubbed off loose skins.

They're in the shop now until they're all gone and I think I'll have enough to keep me going until next year. Not a bad return on 7 bucks worth of seeds.
