What did you do in the garden today?

New coop is nearly ready. Hole for automatic door is in, roosts done, nesting boxes done. Only thing left is the vinyl plank floor and relocating the fence to enclose new coop in the chicken yard. Floor expected to be done Wednesday to complete the coop. None to soon because we are out of room in the old coop, 5 grown birds, 2 teenagers, and 3 in the terrible twos. All this in a coop build to about 17 sq.ft. meant for 4 chickens. The new coop should be good for about 30, it’s 120 sq.ft. This is par for the course for me and my ‘in the nick of time’ management style. I’ve of late been physically putting the chickens to bed on the roost and calming the upheaval.🤨

THe harvest dust with mold mixed in is the worst I've seen it here. Even DH is having problems and he's not allergic to anything.
@Justagalwithchicks how you doing over there??
It's awful! They have been doing the soybean fields around us last couple of days. The air in the evening is so thick. Good that they got it done because it's pouring here right now! Which is perfect to clear the air and knock some pollen down!

The 3M n-95 Aura is a good choice if you're wearing it all day. Or the 3M 9211+ if it's hot. I prefer the 9211+ while my spouse prefers the Aura.

We have a soil fungus here that can cause "valley fever" so we have no choice but to wear masks in the dust.
I didn't even know that was a thing.....

My pumpkins which originally dropped all the baby pumpkins this early summer is now showing off. I cut two off today before the rain came. Btw- my butternut squash was a bust. I usually get quite a few. I have 3. This season has been so strange weather wise.

Ya all the pollen stuck to the chaff too. LOL.
Just poured here as well.
As soon as those leaves dry on Wednesday, it's back out to the fields.
