What did you do in the garden today?

:clap
What will you be doing, if you'd care to tell?
It’s for Walmart, I’ll basically be doing the online shopping stuff so some days I’ll be getting the stuff from shelves and other days I’ll be bringing them out to cars. Not the most amazing job in the world or anything but the pay is pretty good (for my age, not necessarily livable). It’s enough that I should be able to buy a car and get a new phone in under 6ish months and after that basically everything I make will go into savings. I’m thinking it’s going to be good though as everyone so far has seemed super nice

Congratulations on you new work. Work is what we make of it, and when you have nice people it makes all the difference.
♥️

This is going to be the first week of all 60s. I’ve seen places say that the first frost date is anywhere from oct. 12 to the first week of November and honestly haven’t paid attention in the past to it so I’m not sure when to expect it but I’m thinking probably around Halloween

When I retired I found I couldn't stand not working, so took a part time job at Wal-Mart cashiering. I had so much fun at that job that I stayed with them for 10 years. Can tell you that if you're good to them, they'll be really good to you. Show up on time, don't call in sick, do the job you're supposed to be doing, stay off your phone, and don't stand around visiting with others. Same requirements you'll find at every job you'll have in life, but Wal-Mart's so grateful to get employees like that, they will treat you like royalty. Have fun with it!!!

I have only a tiny postage stamp of a garden, a small area maybe 8 x 10 if that, fenced off from the chickens who otherwise wander all over our property. I injured my knee back in February and am only just now getting back on my feet. This little mint garden had really been neglected! Today I got in there and pulled out some of the weeds and dead grasses with a rake. I'm weak and can't do much but it felt good to do SOMETHING. I hope to see some of the mint pop up as the weather cools. People say you can't kill mint, I'm hoping it's true!

most kids here get from their parents what they want. when parents cannot buy all they want they start stealing. after that some end up in jail and some become politicians, lol.
